When should I change the iPhone battery?

If you have any of the below mentioned symptoms, your iPhone is in need of a battery change.

  • Need to charge multiple times a day.
  • Shuts down on its own when the power is low.
  • Automatically restarting or rebooting.
  • Battery health is below 80% (phone will be slow).
  • Battery percentage is not accurate and keeps changing.

It’s 15 to 120 minutes, depends on the model.

From iPhone 4 to iPhone 6 Plus is 15-20 minutes.

iPhone 6S to iPhone 7 Plus is about 30 minutes.

iPhone 8 to iPhone X is 45-60 minutes because we’re installing back the water-resistance.

iPhone XS and above is 120-180 minutes. It’s slow because Apple server sometime is slow, and we need to verify the battery from server.

Data is not affected.

But we need your passcode in order to test before repair and after. If you have a privacy problem with the data, you can backup and erase it before you come. Or you can accept the risk that we don’t bear responsibility for any damage in the process.

By giving us full access to your device, we will be responsible for any installation damage in the process.

Yes, we do install back the water-resistance seal for your device.
But please do not think it’s a waterproof iPhone. Even it didn’t repair before, it can get water damaged somehow.

Water-resistance is only good for the first few months.

Yes, Apple Center can do iPhone battery replacement too, but their policy is a problem.
They won’t accept your device if one of the conditions below is met.

  • Water damaged / Liquid damaged
  • Screen cracked
  • Housing dented or scratched too many
  • Unable to erase data (The phone must be empty with no personal data)
  • Inside hardware has been tampered before

No matter where you changed the battery before, we can check for you if it is the battery issue or motherboard problem.
If it’s a motherboard problem, we still can repair it in our shop.

We fixed a lot of cases the battery is drained out very fast. Usually they’re either charging IC problem or Power IC which can be repaired in 1 day.
